Weekend Recap: Playing, Biting, and Pool Fun

Monday, again.  Sigh.

We had lots of fun this past weekend and I was much better at documenting it with photos, although there were lots of things I thought about after and wished I had taken a minute to take out my iPhone for.

Friday night, Vicki was in from Rhode Island so she came over with Alise to visit Hannah.  Hannah loved all the attention and additional playmates!  We ordered out yummy appetizers for dinner and just chatted.  So fun!

I was tired from the week so I got in bed early.  About an hour after I went to bed, I came out to the living room to find this.

I am sure Michael won't be happy that I am posting this photo, but it made me think of when I was first pregnant and so exhausted all the time.  I would go to bed early and Michael would say he wasn't tired yet,  After awhile I would realize Michael never came to bed, and I would come out to find him passed out on the couch!

Saturday was, one of my besties, Jackie's 30th birthday party.  

We woke up and enjoyed some morning snuggles with Hannah in our bed.  This is sometimes my most favorite part of the day.  Hannah wakes up so happy in the morning!

My mom, sister and cousin came to watch Hannah while we went to Jackie's party.  I will do another post on the party this week.  But for now, here is the Instagram collage that I made.  We are such babies in some of these pictures!!  How is it possible that we are turning 30!?!  Love you Jacks!

Sunday, Hannah decided to sleep in until 8 and her mommy and daddy were very grateful for the extra sleep after a fun day on Saturday!  Then, I enjoyed some leftover cake for breakfast, while Hannah played with her toys.  Seriously, there is nothing better than cake in the morning!  (or really any time of day!!)

She sits for so long and just picks up toys, either bites them or shakes them and then throws them!

We made a quick trip the Gap (Friends and Family Sale and Hannah needed some new jammies!) and then Starbucks.  Hannah was very tired and fell asleep in the car on the way home.

After her nap and lunch, we went out to play in the baby pool!  I am in love with her Vera Bradley bathing suit and cover up!!  Too bad I couldn't get her to look at my for any pictures!!

After pool time, we relaxed and got ready for the week.  Hannah had a little accident playing with a Poland Spring bottle that resulted in lots of crying.  Even though she loves them, no more water bottles as toys!! 

Hope everyone has a great start to their week!  Michael is traveling for work starting this coming weekend, so we are looking forward to lots of togetherness this week before he has to leave us!

Friday Favorites

Today I am linking up with three other blogs: Momfessionals, A Little Bit of Everything, and Grace and Love.  I read all three of these blogs and I really hope to have a sweet group of mom friends like they do one day!

Every Friday I am going to pick my "favorites" of the past week.  I am not going to pick a specific number of things to stick to, it will be different depending on the week.  Spoiler alert - a lot of them will probably have to do with Hannah.  :)

1.  Hannah discovering new food

I am so glad that I decided to make Hannah's baby food.  It is so cool to watch her discovering food and knowing that I made it for her.  I already shared the pictures of her having apples earlier this week.  Here she is having sweet potatoes for the first time on Wednesday.

She already loves to eat!  She stares at everything that we eat in front of her and seems so fascinated by it.  The other night I ate a mozzarella stick while I was holding her and I honestly felt so badly that I couldn't let her have any of it.  She stared at it moving from my hand to my mouth the entire time.  It was so funny.  

2.  Haagen-Dazs was on sale at A&P

We seriously stocked up! We have a Haagen-Dazs problem and aren't afraid to admit it.  If I were still pregnant, these would have lasted approximately three days before I would have had to send Michael back to the store to get more.  Eight pints is a totally normal amount of ice cream to have in your freezer, right?  :)

3.  McGrath Family Photos

About a month ago, we had professional photos taken of Michael's parents and all 10 of the grandchildren.  We got them back from the photographer this week and they are adorable!  I will share my favorite photo of Hannah from the shoot now, and then share more from the shoot next week.

4.  Hannah's Vera Bradley Outfit

6.  My mom

Although my mom is one of my favorite things every week, today is her birthday so I am going to put her on this week's list.  I feel so blessed and lucky every day to have her for a mom and have her as Hannah's grandma.  I know that I have only been a mom for a short time, but I feel like I can already appreciate so much more everything she has done for all of us.   I hope I can be half as great a mom to Hannah as she has been to me.
