Happy 7 Months, Hannah!!

Hannah is 7 months old today!  She has gotten so big this past month.

It has been awhile since my last post, a month to be exact!!

Things got pretty hectic starting when Michael was away for work and ever since I haven't been making time to blog.  It is my goal to get back to posting at least a couple of times a week.  I want to start by going back and documenting big moments from this past month.  So more on what has been going on lately in the weeks to come.

For now, happy 7 months to our little princess!!

Hannah at 7 Months:

17lb. 5oz.
(according to our scale, no Dr visit this month)

She has her first two teeth!  (you can spot them in some of the pictures!)
She is crawling!!
She is pulling up everywhere she can!
She loves to hold onto your hands and "walk"!  (crawling is just not satisfying enough for her!)
She still loves to eat and doesn't make a face at new foods.
She loves to be sang to.
She does not like when people clap for her, it often results in crying.
She is super smiley.
It is not always easy to get big laughs, but when they come they are well worth the effort.
Her favorite noise to make is this funny panting sound (sort of sounds like a puppy!)
She likes to go for walks with her Daddy.
She NEVER sits still!!

Cute even when she cries :)

Happy 7 Months, Hannah Jo!

We love you more than anything!

Happy 6 Months, Hannah!

Our little princess was 6 months old yesterday!

She is half way to being a year old, it doesn't even seem possible.

Hannah at 6 months:

16 lb. 4oz.
27 inches long

She can sit up and move backwards!
She gets on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth.
She "talks" so much more!
She makes raspberries with her mouth.
Her giggle is louder and stronger!  (and the absolute best sound in the world!)
She loves to sit up in front of her toy basket and play.
She loves to watch cars go by in the front window.
She chews anything and everything she can get in her mouth!
She loves to eat, peaches seem to be her favorite.

We love you Hannah!

Friday Favorites

This week flew by!!  I seriously can't believe it is already Friday and already August!  Where has the summer gone?  Linking up again with MomfessionalsA Little Bit of Everything, and Grace and Love and sharing my favorites from this past week.

1.  Hannah's new "skills"

It feels like Hannah has been doing something new almost every day the past couple of weeks.  She is changing so quickly.  I can't believe all the things she does now.  A long way from the newborn stage, which at the time felt like it would never end!

Check out all of her noises and frog bouncing in the video.

We recorded this last Friday before leaving for the wedding, so happy we didn't miss it!  This was by far the most "talking" she has done!

(Thanks to Michael for the iMovie help!)

2. Hyland's Teething Tablets

These have been a huge help the last few nights.  Hannah has been sleeping through the night for awhile now, but this week has been a rough one for her.  She is waking up every night crying, and these tablets seem to be making a difference.

Not totally sure how you really know a baby is teething, but I have a feeling a tooth is coming.  Guessing that means Michael and I stay sleep deprived for awhile!

Any advice how to help teething babies?  Would love your tips in the comments!!

3.  The Bachelorette Finale

A very sweet proposal to watch, but the part I still can't get over is what Nick said in the After the Final Rose show.  Shock value for sure!! Our jaws dropped!

So glad Bachelor in Paradise starts Monday so my weekly dates with Alise don't have to end!

4.  Overalls (Yes, overalls!)

5.  Recipes

I saw two recipes this week online that I am dying to try!

What doesn't look good about these!?

I have been wanting to try making French silk pie ever since I saw it on the Pioneer Woman awhile back, but thinking maybe I start with these cute mini versions.

I love everything about s'mores and am a total sucker for s'mores recipes.  I haven't tried a new one this summer, so thinking this might be it.  Still love last summer's s'mores dip and the summer before's s'mores bars.

Did I mention I love all thing s'mores?

Now I just need to find some time to bake!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! We don't have any big plans, just looking forward to relaxing and hopefully getting somewhere on our "to do" list.

Craft: Butterfly Footprint Art

I wanted to get my mom something unique from Hannah for her birthday.  Since Hannah is too little to help make something herself, I set out on Pinterest in search of something to make.  Anyone that knows me well knows that I am not a very crafty person.  I really really wish I were.  I love crafts and the idea of being able to make things yourself; however, my craft attempts are known to end in tears. I inevitably mess them up every time.  This time my desire to make something different won out against my hesitation to craft and I found this for inspiration.

This colors would look really cute in Hannah's nursery.

A quick trip to the craft store and we were ready to go!

Hannah is not so sure this is a good idea.

During the first attempt, I dipped her foot directly into the paint.

The paint turned out gloppy and it wasn't quite the look I was hoping for.  After a quick clean of her feet we attempted it again, this time painting her foot with the brush.

Doesn't she look thrilled?  :)

(Excuse her wet diaper and our messy kitchen!)

Seriously has she ever had more fun?

Still not exactly what I was hoping for but much better than the first attempt.

I let it dry and then painted on the rest of the butterfly, her name and age.

It wasn't exactly how I wanted it to turn out but being crafting impaired I think the fact that we accomplished it at all was a success.  So successful in fact, I am thinking of doing it again.  I would love to keep one on my desk at work and make another for the wall of her nursery.

My mom absolutely loved her gift!!  From the looks on Hannah's face during the process she may share my feelings on crafting!  Let's hope she is a little more creative than her mommy!!

Weekend Recap: Shopping and Swimming

For me the weekend began on Thursday night.  We celebrated my mom's birthday with dinner in our backyard.  This was really the only good picture that I took besides the one of the cupcakes that I posted on Friday.
Hannah with Uncle Justin

Friday I took off from work to have a girl's day for my mom's birthday.  Hannah made a special present for Grandma, but she was really just interested in eating the paper and the bow.  She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth!  More on the gift later this week.

Then we went to the mall for some lunch and shopping at the Nordstrom anniversary sale.  Hannah got some cute coats for fall and winter- here she is trying on her new vest and headband.  I can't wait for her to wear it!!  It is crazy how lately I don't care at all about shopping for myself.  All I want to do is buy clothes and accessories for Hannah!  I am obsessed!

We measured her tiny little foot and she tried on some Uggs for size.

We ended the night with a little Daddy and Hannah play time.  It was such a fun day!!  I love getting to be with my mom and sister!

Saturday we went to our nephew Aidan's baseball game, but unfortunately we missed a lot of the game.  It takes us forever and a day to get out of the house now.  I hate being late and then when I married Michael I had to adjust since he is late for everything.  Now that we have Hannah, forget it!!  We cannot get out the door to save our lives!!  It was nice to get to see a little of the game though!  (Sorry Aidan!)  After we went to lunch and then came home and had a low key night.  Michael took Hannah for a walk and I made some pea baby food.

I am bummed, I didn't take any pictures on Saturday.  One of the reasons I wanted to start a blog was so that I would be better at taking pictures and documenting our lives.  We were really good about it when Hannah was first born and then as we got busier, it got harder.  So I am trying!

Sunday was a nice day at home.  We spent the morning in our jammies and Hannah watched some golf with Daddy.  Michael is hoping for a little golf partner as soon as she is able!  He has been watching the Golf Network with her almost every morning since we first brought her home from the hospital.

After some cleaning and a short nap for Hannah, we headed outside to enjoy the nice weather!!  She loves her baby pool!  Hannah rocked one of her new headbands from Friday's shopping trip.  I currently have 3 other colors in my cart online and am debating whether or not to get them.  They are so soft and stay on really well.

After a spit up incident in the baby pool, it was time to test out the big pool.  At first she seemed interested and was kicking her feet in the water, but once she got in it was an entirely different story!!  She was not a big fan of the pool!!

She was much happier after we took her out!  We will have to try again once the pool is warmer.

Check out those lashes!!  Lucky girl!!

We ended the night with some ice cream and Big Brother.  It was so nice to enjoy a three day weekend!
